As a pianist and educator, I firmly believe in a balance between technical mastery and musical expression. Piano playing is not just about technique; it is an art of emotional communication, structural understanding, and personal interpretation. My teaching approach is deeply influenced by the Russian piano tradition, emphasizing finger independence, tone control, and structural analysis, while also integrating aesthetic concepts from both Western and Eastern musical cultures to help students develop their unique artistic voice.
I adopt a student-centered approach, tailoring lessons to each individual’s strengths and goals—whether they are beginners, exam candidates, or competition-level performers. I focus on solid technical foundations, including touch, rhythm, and pedal control, while also guiding students to understand the stylistic and historical contexts of the pieces they play, enabling them to find their own expressive language in music.
My goal is not only to train skilled pianists but to nurture independent thinkers, refined musicians, and artists with a deep sensitivity to music. I hope that every student can discover their true self through music and express their most heartfelt emotions through piano performance.
